Domains can be registered with the API AddDomain command.
command = AddDomain domain = (DOMAIN)
ownercontact0 = (CONTACT) admincontact0 = (CONTACT) techcontact0 = (CONTACT) billingcontact0 = (CONTACT) nameserver0 = (NAMESERVER) nameserver1 = (NAMESERVER) X-AU-REGISTRANT-ID-NUMBER = (TEXT) X-AU-REGISTRANT-ID-TYPE = ABN | ACN | RBN | TM
auth = (TEXT) | (NULL) period = (PERIOD) transferlock = 0 | 1 | (NULL)
The transfer has to be initiated by the gaining registrar and can be requested with the API TransferDomain command. A confirmation email will be sent out by the registry to the registrant. After the registrant has confirmed the transfer, it will be processed in real-time. Australian domains typically take up to 48 hours to transfer, provided there are no issues with the transfer such as incorrect details. This also depends on AusRegistry who handle the transfer but almost always it is within 48 hours.
