API

Domain Registration

Domains can be registered in Real-Time with the API AddDomain command.

command = AddDomain
domain  = (DOMAIN)

REQUIRED

ownercontact0 = (CONTACT)
admincontact0 = (CONTACT)
techcontact0 = (CONTACT)
billingcontact0 = (CONTACT)
nameserver0 = (NAMESERVER)
nameserver1 = (NAMESERVER)

OPTIONAL

auth = <TEXT> | <NULL>
transferlock = 0 | 1 | <NULL>
subuser = <TEXT> | <NULL>

Domain Transfer

The transfer has to be initiated by the gaining registrar and can be requested with the API TransferDomain command.
A valid Authorization Code must be provided to initiate a transfer successfully. You may obtain the authorization code from the losing registrar.
As soon as a domain transfer has been initiated it can either be approved ("ACK") by Customer or denied ("NACK") by Customer.
After the domain name transfer has been initiated by a target registrar a confirmation link is sent to the registrant's email address. When the link is confirmed the transfer procedure is completed.

command = TransferDomain
domain = (DOMAIN)

REQUIRED

action = REQUEST | APPROVE | DENY | CANCEL | USERTRANSFER
auth = <TEXT>

OPTIONAL

order = CREATE | REPLACE | UPDATE

subuser = <TEXT> | <NULL>
period = <PERIOD>
transferlock = 0 | 1 | <NULL>

Delete Domain

Domains can be deleted with the API DeleteDomain command.
There is a Deletion Restorable Period of 30 days and a following Deletion Hold Period of 5 days.

command = DeleteDomain
domain = (DOMAIN)

REQUIRED

Restore Domain

Restores can be processed in realtime. A restore is possible within 30 days upon deletion. Please use the command RestoreDomain.

Ownerchange

An Ownerchange is free of charge and can be done with the API ModifyDomain command.

TLD specific

Special Transfer Procedure

When a .PL Domain is transferred successfully, it will NOT be renewed automatically, meaning that a transfer is free-of-charge and we will basically "take-over" the current expiration date. Since the registry executes an explicit renewal together with an initiated transfer, you have to submit the parameter PERIOD = 0 with the TransferDomain command, if the domain is NOT within a period 30 days prior to expiration.
A transfer can not be initiated within 5 days after its registration nor within 6 days before the end of its billing period.

Example:

command = TransferDomain
domain = <TEXT>
period = 0

Transfers from NASK

  • Go to the NASK Website and generate the necessary TRANSFER FROM NASK - Form.
  • Fax this form to NASK: +48 22 380 83 01
  • Then NASK will send out the Authorizationcode to the gaining registrar. This may take up to +- 7 days.
  • You can then initiate the transfer without an AuthCode through the webinterface or socket access.
  • After the transfer has been requested, the domain owner will receive a confirmation email and be asked to approve the transfer.
  • After the domain owner approved the transfer using the link in the confirmation email, the domain is transferred in real-time.

Transfers from another Registrar

  • No fax forms are required.
  • Request the authorization code from the current registrar.
  • You can then initiate the transfer through the webinterface or socket access.
  • After the transfer has been requested, the domain owner will receive a confirmation email and be asked to approve the transfer.
  • A .PL Domain Transfer must be initiated with a so-called Authorization Code, which can be obtained from the current registrar through the owner or Admin-C of the domain.
  • Please ensure, that you have a correct Authorization Code associated with the domain, before initiating the transfer, otherwise it will fail.
  • Ensure that your respective domain does not have a lock status. This can be seen in the WHOIS. If the domain is locked, then the owner can demand that this be unlocked.
  • Please note that you need the authorization of the registrant before you initiate the transfer.
