.IE is the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Ireland. As of 2000, the business of administrating the domain registry is handled by IE Domain Registry Limited. Domain name registration is open to individuals located in, or with a significant connection with, any part of the island of Ireland.

Delete Domain

Domains can be deleted with the API DeleteDomain command.
There is no Deletion Restorable Period.

Ownerchange

In order to change the owner you have to request a trade with the TradeDomain command. This can be done through our web interface or through our API:

TLD specific

Registration

To complete a registration order of .IE domain you have to be send following additional information to Hexonet:

Important:
The domain name must correspond to the company name.
Example: product - proof required, company name, etc.

Transfer

To complete a transfer order, you have to send an additional document to Hexonet. A writing (on company letterhead if possible) signed and stamped by the domain admin with a statement in the following format:

"Herewith, I authorise the transfer of the domain 'domainname.ie' to ASK250-IEDR"

Ownerchange

To complete an ownerchange order of .IE domain you have to be send following additional information of the new owner to Hexonet:
