Delete Domain

Domains can be deleted with the API DeleteDomain command.
There is a Deletion Restorable Period of 29 days and a following Deletion Hold Period of 0 days.

PLEASE NOTE: The registry performs nameserver checks, therefore, domains are not activated until the domain's nameservers are successfully checked by the registry.

Terms and Restricitions

Please be advised that domain changes might not be reflected in the .ZA registry's WHOIS until the five day pendingUpdate period has passed.

Please be advised that changes to the domain or associated contacts might not be possible for the first week after registration, due to registry policies.

Transfer procedure

A transfer of a .CO.ZA domain may be APPROVED or DENIED by the domain registrant.

• An email will be sent by the registry to the registrant
  
• The transfer will fail immediately if the transfer is denied by the registrant
  
• If there is no response received (APPROVE or DENY), the domain will not be transferred.<be>

It is possible to start a transfer after the domain has expired but only in the first five days (Pending Suspension).
If a domain is pending transfer when it expires, the domain transfer will still go through and it will reach the new registrar with the status "expired".

RegistrarOC

Restore Process

To restore a domain as a RegistrarOC customer, you simply have to execute the RestoreDomain command. HEXONET directly forwards the restore request to the registry, which performs the restore in real-time. As soon as the restore is complete, the domain will get assigned to your account with the original domain data.

Please do not initiate a restore directly at the registry (e.g. using the registrar webinterface). All restore operations must be performed through our system.
