Domain Transfer

The transfer must be initiated by the gaining registrar and can be requested with the API TransferDomain command. The authcode must be obtained via the registry website by the domain-owner. See the TLD-specific section for more information.

Delete Domain

Domains can be deleted with the API DeleteDomain command.
There is a Deletion Restorable Period of 30 days.

Restores can be processed in realtime. A restore is possible within 30 days upon deletion. Please use the command RestoreDomain.

Ownerchange

An Ownerchange is free of charge and can be done with the API ModifyDomain command.

Transfer

To transfer a domain, you have to request the authorization code and also the process number of the domain via in the registry's webinterface. The registries website is accessible via registo.dns.pt, with the registrant login and password. After the login, please enter the process file, and use the link “transfer code”.

Deletion

Domains can be deleted with the DeleteDomain command. If you delete a .PT domain it will not be renewed but it will expire at the end of its term.

Ownerchange

You have to state the VAT identifier of the new registrant:

Once the trade has been started in our system:

1. Navigate to our form generator
2. Select the appropriate document (.PT Request for Change of Domain Holder)
3. Fill in the domain name
4. Print the resulting document
5. Fax it to the provided number on the document.

RegistrarOC

Restore Process

To restore a domain as a RegistrarOC customer, you simply have to execute the RestoreDomain command. HEXONET directly forwards the restore request to the registry, which performs the restore in real-time. As soon as the restore is complete, the domain will get assigned to your account with the original domain data.
