[edit] TLD specific

[edit] Registration

You always have to provide the vat identifier of registrant and technical contact. In case that the respective contact is for a private person, the ID-card/Passport number has to be specified.

Please note that the .PT registry does not refund the registration fee if they delete a domain for policy reasons.

X-PT-REGISTRANT-VATID = <TEXT> (max. 255 chars) Required
X-PT-TECH-VATID = <TEXT> (max. 255 chars) Required

Example command:

command=AddDomain
domain= <DOMAIN>
...
...
X-PT-REGISTRANT-VATID = <VATNUMBER>
X-PT-TECH-VATID = <VATNUMBER>

[edit] .PT simplified data validation

Since November 18, 2021, .PT registrants who need to complete data validation can do so directly via a .PT portal. Registrants who need to validate their data will be contacted via email by the registry with instructions on where and how to upload the required information for validation.

[edit] Transfer

.PT authcodes expire after 30 days, and can only be used once before being invalidated.

[edit] Deletion

Domains can be deleted with the DeleteDomain command. If you delete a .PT domain it will not be renewed but it will expire at the end of its term.

[edit] Ownerchange

You have to state the VAT identifier of the new registrant:

X-PT-REGISTRANT-VATID = <TEXT> (max. 255 chars) Required

Once the trade has been started in the HEXONET system:

  1. Navigate to our Domain PDF generator
  2. Select the appropriate document (.PT Request for Change of Domain Holder)
  3. Fill in the domain name
  4. IMPORTANT - Print the resulting document and add a letterhead or add company stamp, otherwise the registry will not accept it
  5. Submit the form to [email protected]

[edit] RegistrarOC

Restore Process

To restore a domain as a RegistrarOC customer, you simply have to execute the RestoreDomain command. HEXONET directly forwards the restore request to the registry, which performs the restore in real-time. As soon as the restore is complete, the domain will get assigned to your account with the original domain data.

Please do not initiate a restore directly at the registry (e.g. using the registrar webinterface). All restore operations must be performed through our system.

[edit] Domain Import

X-PT-ROID = <TEXT> (max. 255 chars) Required - The ROID of the domain

Example command:

command = ImportDomain
